About the Topic: “Leadership for Everyone”

“Leadership for Everyone” provides insight into what makes an effective leader and how each of us can become a leader. The program explores types of leadership and attributes necessary to be an effective leader.

About the Speaker:

Mr. Kasserman is currently the Vice President of Operations for a new startup - ColorGuard4LIfe in Winston-Salem, NC.  He currently coordinates all of the operations, marketing and Information Systems functions for this new venture.  Kc. has over 17 years of planning and operations experience in woven textiles, poly-coated paper, consumer furnishings and telecommunications.  Various supply chain roles have brought Mr. Kasserman to the US Navy, Burlington Industries, Rexam Release, CMI Industries, RF Micro Devices and of recent, the Ingersoll-Rand Companies.

Demonstrating a dedication to lifelong learning, Kc. has been involved with APICS since 1992.  As a volunteer, he has served as a charter student member and president at Appalachian State University, chapter officer and president of 85/40 APICS, chapter officer and president of Piedmont/Triad APICS, APICS International Board Member  and currently is the elected District Manager for the Southeast District.  Mr. Kasserman gained his BSBA from Appalachian State double majoring in Computer Information Systems and Operations Management.  He holds his CPIM, CIRM and CSCP from APICS along with a Green Belt from ASQ.  Kc. earned his MBA from Wake Forest University.

Kc. spends his free time volunteering for a local high school marching band as part of the pit crew, managing a softball team, traveling for fun and relaxation with his family across the country and when time allows – playing, of all things, the tuba on the side..
